New Design SG PDR TOOLS slide hammer is here! Beautifully crafted in an old world style. Made from hand polished and engraved aluminum end caps joined together with a carbon fiber handle that has a brilliant clear coat finish. The shaft is also made from carbon fiber and it slides effortlessly on linear roller bearing installed inside the slide for a precision feel like no other. The slide hammer weighs in at 1lb 8 oz, the perfect weight to its 11 inch shaft length with close to a 5 inch throw.
The SG carbon comes with a hot glue tab adapter and 3 new style Stainless Steel cold glue tabs in 13.5mm, 19.5mm and 24.5mm diameters. The tabs have a thick sidewall with a bonding groove that helps keeps your glue on the tab and a new power divot that increase the center pull effect.
The end cap has an install dampener that cushions and slightly slows the slide speed down to allow the glue to not be violently snapped. The dampener also sends the re coil back to the shaft towards the glue tab end where it locks in with a series of o- rings. No spring or rubber band to pull against. Truly a legendary design
The total length of the hammer is 13 inches. The Slide fills the gap between a mini and a full sized hammer.
